Art analisis
The name of this picture is .RevengE. done by Nina (I don't know her last name but shes ninaogfnuk on deviantart.com) The art looks dark and gory as I think she meant it to look. It also looks slightly disturbed. I see that she used several types of lines, shapes, colors, textures, value, sense of scale, light and space. She uses lines to distinguish the different shapes and figures. She used a huge range of color to make the picture more interesting and the different tones and values of the colors ad depth and a little bit more realism into the picture. Her textures are different on the clothes and skin and blood to make them look like the actual things they are meant to be. Her scale is a little off on the body structures to make it more her own style and more cartoon-like. The lighting is used to create nice lighting on the two peoples faces and also the eeri shadowing on them as well. The space was also used to make that dark, eeri feel to the picture with the reds, blacks and grays to bring out the two characters in the picture also to compliment their color schemes. I think that the meaning is to not trust even the quite ones. See Rasputin (the boy with the green eyes and silver hair) is a quite, nervous, awkward teen who has befriended Luke(the red haired gray eyed boy) who is violent, rude, and has a mental disorder which caused him to stab Rasputin in the hand. I think this picture is about obviously what it's title states "Revenge." The mood is obviously gory, dark, and disturbed it is effective for the portrayed because it shows the darkness that comes in the intention to harm another being. I love the work because I obviously like the slightly dark things that lerk in the human mind and heart and this picture I feel shows what we are all capable of if we are pushed far enough. This picture reflects how I am going to show the darkness in a families past but what light can come out of that darkness, but no matter how far you run you can never escape that darkness that lies within your past and there for yourself.
